Stellar MLS Launches a New Public Home Search: What Central Florida Buyers Need to Know

If you’re searching for a home in Orlando or Winter Garden, there’s a new website you’ll want to bookmark: StellarMLS.com.

In September 2026, Stellar MLS launched Stellar MLS Home Search, a new public-facing home search experience available directly through StellarMLS.com. For years, real estate professionals throughout Florida have relied on Stellar MLS for property information. Now, home buyers and sellers can access a public search experience built around that same MLS data.

So, what makes Stellar MLS Home Search different from familiar real estate websites such as Zillow and Realtor.com? The biggest difference is simple: you’re getting closer to the source of the listing information. I’ve told buyers for years to avoid Zillow due to their outdated data and pricing models that are designed to make money, not help you.

What Is Stellar MLS Home Search?

Stellar MLS is one of the largest multiple listing services in the country and serves more than 80,000 real estate professionals across Florida, Georgia, Alabama and Puerto Rico.

When a real estate agent enters a property for sale into Stellar MLS, that information becomes part of the MLS database used by real estate professionals. Listing information may then be distributed to other real estate websites and apps.

With the new Stellar MLS Home Search, consumers can now search publicly displayed listings through a platform powered directly by MLS data.

According to Stellar MLS, listing information on Home Search updates approximately every 2.5 minutes on average, helping buyers see new listings, price changes and property-status updates quickly.

Why Use Stellar MLS Instead of Relying Only on Zillow or Realtor.com?

Zillow and Realtor.com remain useful and popular home-search tools. But Stellar MLS Home Search offers several advantages that make it worth adding to your home-buying toolbox.

1. Listing information comes straight from the MLS.

One of the biggest benefits is the source of the information. Stellar MLS Home Search displays listings designated for public display from Stellar MLS and participating MLS organizations.

Rather than beginning with a third-party consumer portal, buyers are searching information originating with the MLS system real estate professionals use to market properties.

2. Listings refresh within minutes.

In a competitive market, timing matters. A property’s status can change quickly—from Active to Under Contract, for example.

Stellar says Home Search listings refresh approximately every 2.5 minutes on average. That means consumers can see MLS status changes and listing updates close to real time.

3. No paid placement in your search results.

This is one of the most interesting differences.

Stellar MLS Home Search is not supported by advertising and does not offer paid placement or preferential treatment in its search results. The goal is straightforward: let consumers search available properties without advertising influencing which listings receive greater visibility.

That differs from major real estate portals that also operate advertising and lead-generation businesses. Zillow, for example, offers Premier Agent advertising that connects participating real estate professionals with prospective buyers. Realtor.com also offers paid lead-generation products for real estate professionals.

There’s nothing inherently wrong with those services, but consumers should understand the distinction. Stellar MLS Home Search was designed primarily as an MLS-powered property search rather than an advertising marketplace.

4. Property inquiries connect with the listing agent.

See a house you love and have a question?

On Stellar MLS Home Search, an inquiry about a property goes directly to the listing agent—the real estate professional representing that particular property—rather than being sold or routed to an agent who paid for advertising placement.

For consumers, that can make it easier to reach someone familiar with the listing.

And if you’re already working with a buyer’s agent, Stellar MLS has another useful feature: agents can provide clients with a personalized link. Once the buyer confirms that relationship, their agent or brokerage can remain connected to them as they search.

5. You can search naturally.

The new search platform also allows consumers to describe what they want using everyday language.

Instead of relying exclusively on a long checklist of filters, you can search more naturally for the type of property you’re interested in. It’s a modern feature designed to make exploring homes simpler and more intuitive.

Does Stellar MLS Home Search Replace Your Real Estate Agent?

Not at all—and that’s actually an important distinction.

A search website can show you bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, asking prices, photos and listing status. What it cannot do is replace the local knowledge and professional guidance that become important when you’re seriously considering a property.

That is especially true in Winter Garden and the surrounding Central Florida communities, where two homes with similar prices and square footage can offer very different locations, communities, fees, amenities and long-term considerations.

The best approach is to use powerful search technology together with a knowledgeable local real estate professional.

A New Way to Search Central Florida Real Estate

Zillow and Realtor.com aren’t going away, and buyers certainly don’t have to stop using them. The launch of Stellar MLS Home Search simply gives consumers another—and potentially very useful—option.

For buyers who value MLS-sourced information, frequent listing updates, an ad-free experience and direct connections to real estate professionals, Stellar MLS Home Search deserves a place in the home-search routine.

You can explore the new search experience at StellarMLS.com.

And when you find a property that catches your eye in Winter Garden or elsewhere in Central Florida, the team at WG Realty Executives can help you go beyond the listing—understanding the neighborhood, evaluating the property and navigating the next steps toward making it home.

NOW UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Just a short walk from the famous Winter Garden Plant Street Farmer’s Market, there’s a new development that you might not have noticed yet. And you’ll have ducks as neighbors!

Lakeview Village Estates by Davila Homes broke ground a month or two ago and the buildings are going up fast. This relatively modest project is in the side streets just off Story Road.

Now pre-selling: Call Marc Burke on +1 (407) 901-5161 for more information or to schedule a tour.

Lakeview Village Estates: New Construction Meets Downtown Winter Garden Living

Want a brand-new home without giving up the charm and walkability of Downtown Winter Garden? Lakeview Village Estates may be one of the most interesting new communities to watch in 2026.

Currently under construction along South Lakeview Avenue, Lakeview Village is a boutique community by Davila Homes featuring just 40 residences — 26 single-family homes and 14 townhomes. Unlike many of Winter Garden’s larger new-construction communities, this one puts buyers remarkably close to historic downtown, Plant Street and the West Orange Trail.

New Construction — But Close to Old Winter Garden

That’s what makes Lakeview Village different.

Much of Winter Garden’s new construction has taken place farther south in the Horizon West area. Lakeview Village gives buyers an opportunity to own a newly built home while remaining close to the established downtown Winter Garden lifestyle.

The community is located within Winter Garden’s Golf Cart District, and builder marketing highlights the ability to walk or golf cart to Plant Street, restaurants, shops and the popular Winter Garden Farmers Market.

In other words, you can have the new kitchen and new-home smell without being miles away from the brick streets and oak trees that make Winter Garden feel like Winter Garden.

What Is Being Built?

Davila Homes is offering both luxury townhomes and single-family residences, giving Lakeview Village a little more variety than a traditional subdivision.

Current single-family plans include four-bedroom designs such as the Maple, Willow, Magnolia, Palmetto and Cypress. Current listings show features such as open-concept living areas, engineered hardwood floors, upscale countertops, chef-inspired kitchens and two-car garages.

Construction is already well underway, with homes progressing throughout 2026.

Why We’re Watching Lakeview Village

For us, the biggest attraction isn’t simply that the homes are new.

It’s where they’re being built.

There aren’t many opportunities to create an entirely new residential community this close to historic Downtown Winter Garden. With only 40 residences planned, Lakeview Village should also feel considerably more intimate than the large master-planned developments found elsewhere around Central Florida.

For buyers who want new construction + downtown Winter Garden + golf-cart living, this is definitely a community worth knowing about.

Interested in Lakeview Village Estates?

Because this is an actively developing community, floor plans, pricing, incentives and available homes can change as construction progresses.

Before walking into a builder’s sales center on your own, talk with a local real estate professional who can help you understand the available homes, builder incentives, contracts and how Lakeview Village compares with other Winter Garden options.

Introducing Plant Street Commons: A Vision for Downtown Winter Garden's Future

Plant Street Commons is the latest plan by a local developer, Atrium Capital Group, which promises to redefine the landscape of the vibrant Winter Garden downtown area.

With a dynamic blend of retail and residential spaces it could be the perfect mix, nestled along coveted Plant Street.

At the forefront of this proposed development is a three-story building that will include ground-floor retail above which there will be, ten modern apartments. Complementing the apartments are eight two-story townhomes. These townhomes are designed to integrate with the surrounding neighborhood while providing residents with all the comforts of a modern living.

The developer’s plans include ample parking provisions with total of 27 parking spaces are proposed, with dedicated allocations for retail customers, apartment residents, and townhome occupants.

While the project is still in its preliminary stages, Winter Garden’s reputation as a place for shopping, dining, and leisure activities bodes well for the success of Plant Street Commons.

This announcement comes amidst a wave of steady growth in Downtown Winter Garden, with several infill developments contributing to the area’s growth.

What’s Not To Love?

The Winter Oaks community in Winter Garden falls within the much coveted “golf cart district” less than a mile from Plant Street and the historic downtown area. This makes it Winter Oaks not only the perfect retreat, but the perfect location for trips to the Farmer’s market or playing pickle ball at the Veteran’s Memorial Park next door. Right across the street is the Orange County bike and running trail. Everything is within a stone’s throw, which is what makes Winter Oaks such a gem.

One of the first things you’ll notice when entering the community is the beautful water tower. Yes, it’s just for show, but it’s pretty cool all the same and it provides a certain gravitass when entering this non-gated community. Below is an older photo. It’s been repainted since then and it looks even more beautiful.

The second thing you’ll surely notice is the lack of cars on the street. This is a breath of fresh air and it makes Winter Oaks feel clean and tidy. The open feel provides an immediate sense of relaxation. And yet there is ample room for parking. How do they do it? Simple. All the parking is around the back in sides streets that lead to each terrace of houses. Finally, some smart developers who were actually thinking about design and layout.

Oh, plus there’s the lake. It’s one of two ponds with fountains. And no cars, see?

Just past the water tower, you’ll find the community pool, nestled between palm trees, the perfect spot for relaxing in the shade.

All in all, Winter Oaks is the perfect location, which makes it very desirable, so it’s not cheap – but it’s also not that expensive. Nothing over a million. Yet. And there are a number of floor plans to choose, from 3- to 5-bedrooms, up to around 3,000 square feet, so it definitely doesn’t have that cookie cutter feel.
